Green Mountain train wreck

Image via Wikipedia

Simon received great insights but had no idea what to do with them. We share his problem. The events of our lives meet the inspiration of faith and most often it looks like a train wreck! Sometimes we find the “right answers” but maybe it’s the struggle of discovery that helps us grow most. Life is messy by design so why not apply our insights to see what happens? We were born to do that.

People of faith can have a huge impact on today’s world. The challenge is to work through the conflicts so we can make faith an integral part of our lives. The struggle is a good one because it equips us to bring positive change wherever we go. The posts in this blog are intended to help in the process of developing a faith that is relevant to today’s world. We welcome your comments and suggestions as  together we search for a real faith having a real impact in the real world.

Primary writer for this site is Dr. Christopher Turner. He’s been around the faith scene for way too long and tried his hand at most things. Despite all he’s seen, he remains convinced that  the future of faith is in the hands of those who are willing to critically examine what they believe and match their actions to their beliefs. If  faith doesn’t transform us then it’s a liability not an asset. But this web site is not dedicated to guilt trips! Life is all about learning and growing and developing, connecting with and tapping our personal potential.  Faith enables us to walk away from our train wrecks so we can apply what we learned and succeed on the re-run. Our greatest achievements are still in the making.

  9. This self-esteem hits it right on the nose for me. I lived for me all my life terribly. I was the bullied, the abused. It went on throughout my whole life long.Trying to get the love I craved all the wrong ways. Then bipolar 1 and PTSD happened. My life fell further into chaos. Nothing in sight to save me. I now know how I endured it all. It was Jesus calling me for God. He helped me through dire situations since my diagnosis. He got me back to U.S. from Lebanon as sick as I was, he did it. I was hopeless, worthless, broken-hearted and gladly gave my soul early this year. I knew there was no other choice. He called I answered. Even though I still have hard times. I have hope, faith, love and forgiveness in my soul because of him. I was never a mean person, but I was an unsaved sinner just the same, hellbound. Now I’m eternity bound, Elect to his Church forever, Amen Lord. I am watching daily and I am ready. Giving Glory to his name.
